PE Scraper prepares the outside diameter of PE pipe for electrofusion by removing the oxidized layer and contaminates. Spring-loaded blade keeps consistent pressure on the pipe for a smooth finished surface. This blade tension means the blade does not skip. PE Scraper can be used on the edge of the pipe or anywhere along the pipe with sufficient clearance for turning the tool around the pipe.

Precise dies and dieheads are manufactured on CNC machines. Sets contain dropheads and handle in a compact, reinforced plastic carrying case. Dropheads available from 1/4” to 2” NPT. Dropheads in these sets fit Reed’s 601PD. MC2GRIP has rounded corners and edges of the body for a more comfortable grip when rotating the cutter around tubing. After tightening the feed screw, mini tubing cutters work faster by providing a more consistent cutting force on the wheel.

Components required for joining gasketed pipe include the Plastic Pipe Joiner (PPJ) and V-shaped saddles (PPJVS). Gasketed pipe is found in underground work such as utility work, among other places. For Solvent Cement Connections: The Plastic Pipe Joiner connects solvent cement joints on all pipe schedules, IPS, and water pipe from 4" - 12". For solvent cement connections, individually sized saddles must be ordered together with the Plastic Pipe Joiner (PPJ) and the plastic pipe joiner fitting attachment (PPJFA). PPJFA is only used for branch attachments. Solvent cement joining occurs at places such as processing plants, water treatment facilities and industrial locations, among other applications.

NOTE: Connection saddles for gasketed pipe (PPJVS) or solvent cement connections (Plastic Pipe Joiner Saddles) must be purchased separately.

All four models are designed to cut on both the forward and backward stroke for faster work.

Field Pipe Vise holds pipe up to 20” (500 mm) diameter. More pipe capacity than other Reed vises and 2,000 lb (909 kg) vise capacity, yet weighs only 22 lbs (10 kg) without legs and backbone. Super choice for pre-trench work and above ground cuts. Excellent flexibility achieved in height and length of vise appropriate to application as customer may cut own pipe for legs and backbone. Legs and backbone for this vise are available, but must be ordered separately (# 96014) and weigh 50 lbs (22.7 kg). To create legs, use 1 1/2" Sch. 40 steel pipe.

Robust Guillotine Pipe Cutters are designed to cut PE pipe thicker than SDR17 within 1/8” (3 mm) of square on medium and high-density pipe. The accurate cuts from Reed Guillotine Cutters mean no facing is needed for electrofusion and only minimal facing for butt fusion joints. Durable, non-stick coated blade makes many square cuts with no chips to clog valves and small openings. Slight taper on blade allows an easy start to the cut, and holds form for a nice, straight cut. Blades are easy to sharpen or replace. NOTE: HPC Guillotine Pipe Cutters cut PE ONLY and will not cut PVC or PP pipe.
