Fiberglass reinforced structural shapes offer the strength of traditional building materials with a longer life cycle. Hot or cold, wet or dry, FRP structural members remain dimensionally stable. Fiberglass structural shapes can be cut, drilled and assembled using standard tools. Options include NSF certification, UV inhibitors, fire-retardant resin and more. And unlike traditional materials like wood, steel and aluminum, FRP won't rust, corrode, warp, rot, decay or attract insect damage - so it's ideal for harsh environments.
FRP structural shapes come standard in the following resins:
- IPE: A general-purpose isophthalic polyester resin system with a UV inhibitor, offering good corrosion resistance.
Color: Green - IFR: A general-purpose fire-retardant isophthalic resin system with a UV inhibitor, offering good corrosion resistance.
Colors: Gray - VFR: A premium vinylester resin system with a UV inhibitor. Its fire retardant and highly corrosion resistant.
Colors: Beige
Fiberglass reinforced structural shapes are geared toward the following markets: Architectural Solutions, Agriculture, Cooling Towers, Military, Mining, Oil and Gas, Pedestrian Bridges, Plant and Chemical Processing, Pulp and Pater, Theme and Water Parks, Utilities, Wastewater and Water Treatment.
